Walking the streets of Downtown Athens one can’t help but get consumed by the life and FOMO-fever atmosphere created by UGA Students and local residents. I ran a successful business in Athens for 9 years, Lay-Z-Shopper, and remembers the buzz and excitement to be a part of the Athens culture, especially at football season – Go Bulldogs! have a special place in my heart for Athens. It helped me build a business to take care of my family. Athens culture has brought me back, alongside my wife, Kat, to do just that again. We are so excited to open Munch Hut Deli & Store right across from the Arch of UGA. We are bringing your favorite snacks, drinks, and vape products at our convenience store and great food and flavors, such as delicious sandwiches and gyros, at our restaurant.What Folks Are Munching About?

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place while out with my family! I like that they carry a variety of snacks and drinks; it’s convenient to be able to grab a few things for my kids while our food is being prepared. The food was tasty, the staff friendly, and the quality was great for the price! What more can you ask for? We plan on stopping by Munch Hut again soon 🙂
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant right across from the UGA gates. It's great to see this family owned business thrive within the craziness of a college town. The staff truly cares about your experience, the food is great, and they just added wings to the menu! Lastly, I highly recommend the gyro bowl 😋🤗👌 👍 👏
Undoubtedly one of the best spots in town for a quick bite! The owner is super charismatic and his passion for people shows in the food he makes! If you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing out on this hidden gem!
My husband and I were so excited to learn that there's now a place in Athens to get gyros again and had to go try it out. I got the gyro and my husband got the chicken philly and I split mine with my mother. We were all three quite pleased with the food. The meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the veggies were great too. They also have this amazing super hot pepper sauce that doesn't disappoint. The people working were both very nice and helpful and the prices were extremely reasonable. Also, they have the best sanitation grade in Athens at a 99. That says a lot about how clean this establishment is kept. We will all be going back to eat there, no doubt about it. And we will definitely be telling our friends about this place.

Felix and the Munch Hut crew never disappoint. Every time I visit I’m met with enthusiasm and joy. The food is divine, and it’s clearly made with love. Anytime I’m looking for somewhere to munch, I know where to go

We ordered delivery from munch hut last night. It came around 9:30pm but we didn’t eat it until 11:30ish. Kept it in our oven. I got the veggie philly and hubby got the Hercules gyro. When we finally ate it, everything was still fresh! The bread and gyro wrap were not soggy and my veggies were still crisp, not limp. Sooo good! It seems like they are using quality products. This will definitely be our new late night spot! Also, their hot sauce is freaking awesome. Can’t remember what it’s called though.
First off, the food at Munch Hut is amazing! The staff and the owner "Felix" are super outgoing and provide great service. I love this place and highly recommend it!
